Hilti PS1000 X-Scan
We use the latest Hilti PS1000 X-Scan for our ferro scanning work, a highly portable and compact system offering a really diverse range of features.
Fitting into a package little bigger than a briefcase and with simple one-man operation, the PS1000 is incredibly practical and versatile, but delivers exceptional quality information which can be presented in a range of ways. The cutting edge software used in Hilti certified equipment can detect reinforcing bars, pre and post tensioned tendons, metal pipes, plastic pipes, electric and glass fibre cables, cracks, voids and even wood to a depth of 300-350mm.
Key features of the Hilty PS1000 ferro scanner that we use on demolition, refurbishment and engineering projects in a nationwide service across the UK include;
- Non destructive radar detection system
- Detects up to 350mm depth
- Real time turnaround on data
- Instant 2D and 3D presentation
- Data transferable by memory stick
- Scans walls, floors, columns and curved surfaces
The PS1000 sits on a small set of wheels and is scanned over concrete in a grid pattern. Typically a single scan runs over a single square metre, however large areas can be covered and through built-in software the resulting graphical analysis can be joined together into a single image of the entire area. The compact size means that it can easily handle tight or curved spaces, and resulting data can be provided to you on memory stick or can provide instant diagnostic results presented on a screen with full colour 3D imaging right there on site.
